Reflexology
Reflexology
is an ancient skill dating back to the time of the Pharaohs, but
it was brought to Britain only in the 1960s. It works mainly on
the feet (but also on the hands) to promote a balanced body and
mind and maintain good health.
Reflexology
is a simple, effective therapy based on the theory that the whole
body is mirrored in the feet, where there are special reflexes that
correspond to our glands and organs. By skilled manipulation of
specific areas of the feet, the therapist stimulates the corresponding
organ or tissue until our whole body is gently retuned and returned
to a state of harmony. In the hands of a skilled reflexology practitioner
the natural ability of our body to heal itself will be strengthened.
Among
other benefits, reflexology has been found to relieve stress and
fatigue, constipation, digestive disorders, migraines, sinus, menstrual
problems, skin conditions, breathing difficulties and musculoskeletal
disorders. Regular treatment, which can also be self-applied, helps
us to balance the energies of our physical system as a whole.
