Nutritional
Therapy
Nutritional
Therapy works through the process of nutrition to change a person's
metabolism from an unbalanced to a balanced state, which allows
the body to return to natural good health.
Faulty
nutrition, poor digestion and absorption, and toxic overload often
play significant roles in many contemporary ailments. Nutritional
therapists can assist in conditions of chronic fatigue, depression,
stress, weight problems, hormone imbalances including menopause
and PMT, digestive disorders, bowel problems including IBS, food
intolerance, parasitic and fungal infections, joint pain, headache,
migraine and chronic degenerative disease, among other problems.
The aim of the nutritional therapist is to help the person follow an
appropriate, nutritious and healing diet and take any necessary food
supplements. Together these approaches should gradually enable the
body to assimilate nutrients more effectively and move waste
substances from tissues, organs and blood. In conjunction with
healthy lifestyle habits, the general functioning of the whole
bodily system can be progressively improved and the powers of
recuperation stimulated.
