Iridology
Look
at it casually, and the iris of the eye resembles a brown, blue
or green coloured disk. Examine it under a magnifying lens, and
you see hundreds of tiny fibres radiating from the pupil. Iridology
maintains that fibres in each part of the iris correspond to different
internal organs or structures of the body, and that the condition
of the fibres gives detailed information on the constitution and
strength of bodily tissues.
Iridology
is a painless, non-invasive means of diagnosing constitutional strengths
and weaknesses from the iris. A trained iridologist can plot areas
of inflammation, toxicity and acidity, and can distinguish between
healthy and degenerative tissue. The main advantage over other forms
of diagnosis is that changes appear in the iris before physical
symptoms develop, enabling preventative measures to be taken.
This
often means changes to lifestyle and taking positive steps with
diet and exercise, avoiding pollution, dealing with stress and so
on. Iridology is often offered as a means of diagnosis following
which other therapies can be used.
